Wildcats Jump into the Outdoor Season in KT Woodman Classic

The majority of the team will start their outdoor season in Wichita

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The K-State track and field teams begin the outdoor season on Friday-Saturday (April 11-12) in the KT Woodman Classic at Cessna Stadium in Wichita, Kan., hosted by Wichita State.
 
Ticket prices for admission begins at $5. Both days of events will be streamed on ESPN+.
 
Friday's events begin in the afternoon at 5:50 p.m. with the women's 1,500 meters first three sections on the track. At 6 p.m. the men's shot put and women's javelin will start.
 
On Saturday five field events will kick off at 11 a.m. before the women's 4x100 relay begins the track events at 12:30 p.m.
 
Three multi athletes previously already started outdoor competition on March 27-28 in the women's heptathlon, freshman Vera Gerasimova, and the men's decathlon, freshman Tommaso Franze and senior Emil Uhlin, at the Emporia State Relays.
 
The Wildcats experienced some success to wrap up the end of indoor season with First Team All-American junior Sharie Enoe in the women's high jump (T8th) at the NCAA Championship on March 15 and one Big 12 Champion in the men's weight throw with junior Gary Moore Jr.
