K-State Reveals 2025 Volleyball Schedule
Apr 21, 2025 | Volleyball
MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State and head coach Jason Mansfield revealed the entire 2025 schedule Monday, which features 13 home matches at Morgan Family Arena.
Â
"The players have been working really hard this spring, and I'm really proud of their improvement," commented Mansfield, entering his third season at the helm of the Wildcats' volleyball program. "We're all so excited for the 2025 season."
The Cats' 2025 slate features six teams (seven matches) that qualified for last season's NCAA Volleyball Championship, five of which finished the year ranked in the final AVCA Top 25 poll in Kansas, Arizona State, Baylor, Utah and TCU.
Â
The season officially begins on Friday, August 29 as the Wildcats will host the annual K-State Invitational from August 29-31. It will mark the first time that K-State opens a season at home since 2022, as the three-day tournament will include matchups with UMBC (August 29) and Delaware (August 31).
"Hosting the first two preseason tournaments will be a great way to start the season off. Then traveling with the team to Santa Barbara and Chapel Hill should be great tournaments for us to continue to learn more about ourselves and improve," Mansfield added.Â
Â
"The Big 12 will be as balanced and competitive as ever. We'll play tough competition both home and away, but it'll be nice to start off with two home matches."
Â
Following the invitational, the Wildcats will host The Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Classic, facing NC State (September 3) and Nevada (September 5).
K-State will make a trip to the west coast for a tournament at UC Santa Barbara. There, K-State will face tournament host UCSB (September 11) and Northern Colorado (September 12).
Â
The non-conference slate wraps up in Chapel Hill, N.C., when the Cats take on North Carolina (September 19) and East Carolina (September 20).
K-State's Big 12 schedule gets underway on Friday, September 26 against Arizona, highlighting the nine-match home conference slate. In Big 12 contests, the Wildcats will also host Arizona State (September 28), Iowa State (October 8), Texas Tech (October 10), Cincinnati (November 6), Colorado (November 8), Baylor (November 12), and UCF (November 26).
Â
The 2025 edition of the Dillons Sunflower Showdown features a home-and-home series starting at Kansas on Friday, October 24 before finishing at Morgan Family Arena on Saturday, November 15. Â
Â
In addition to the first round of the Dillons Sunflower Showdown at KU, K-State will travel for Big 12 matches at West Virginia (October 1), Cincinnati (October 3), Baylor (October 15), TCU (October 17), Utah (October 29), BYU (October 31), and Houston (November 19). The Wildcats will end their regular season on the road at Iowa State on November 29.
Â
Under Mansfield, K-State is set to return eight letterwinners from last year's roster that finished 10-17 overall and eighth in the Big 12 standings with a league record of 8-10.
