Volleyball Set to Host Purple and White Scrimmage on August 20

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Kansas State volleyball team will host a Purple and White scrimmage on Wednesday, August 20, at 5:30 p.m. inside Morgan Family Arena.

The scrimmage will feature a matchup between current players, offering fans an early look at the 2025 Wildcats under third-year head coach Jason Mansfield. Following the scrimmage, which is free and open to the public, the Wildcats will host an autograph session.

K-State returns eight letterwinners from last year's squad, which finished with a 10-17 overall record and an 8-10 mark in Big 12 play.

The Wildcats' 2025 schedule includes 10 matches against eight teams that qualified for last season's NCAA Volleyball Championship—five of which finished the year ranked in the final AVCA Top 25 poll: Kansas, Arizona State, Baylor, Utah, and TCU.

K-State opens the season with an exhibition at Oklahoma on Saturday, August 23, at 1 p.m. The regular season officially begins on Friday, August 29, against UMBC as the Wildcats host the annual K-State Invitational—marking the first time since 2022 that K-State will begin the season at home. Big 12 play kicks off on Friday, September 26, with a home match against Arizona, highlighting a nine-match home conference slate.
