HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Cheney under head coach Shelby Wehrman... Led the Cardinals to a perfect 13-0 record and the school’s first state championship as a senior as he was named to the Top-11 teams for Sports in Kansas, the Kansas Football Coaches Association and Wichita Eagle, while he was a first team all-state honoree by each organization... Named the 2023 Kansas 3A Offensive Player of the Year by Sports in Kansas and Wichita Eagle... Totaled 1,030 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns on 77 receptions as a senior in addition to 359 rushing yards and another 11 touchdowns on only 39 carries... Tied the state record with 19 receptions in a playoff win against Andale... Also earned first team all-state honors as a junior from Sports in Kansas and the Wichita Eagle... Finished his career with over 3,000 all-purpose yards and 260 tackles on defense, while he set a school record with four kickoff-return touchdowns... Also competed in basketball and track.
