Played two seasons at Dodge City CC under head coach Bob Majeski... A
two-time honorable mention All-Jayhawk Conference selection after
totaling 167 tackles in his two-year career... Led Dodge City in tackles
as a sophomore with 86, including 3.0 for loss... Also recorded two
sacks, an interception and a pass breakup in 2009... Was second on the
team in tackles as a freshman with 81, including two for loss...
Recorded a 35-yard interception return and also recovered one fumble.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Played four years for Macksville High School under head coach Dan
Grizzell... Led team to a combined 35-9 record over his four-year
career, including a perfect 13-0 mark and a 2007 state championship as a
senior... Named all-state his senior season... Also lettered four years
in basketball and track.
PERSONAL:
Jared Edward Loomis was born November 17, 1989, in Hays, Kan... Son of
Bruce and Eileen Loomis... Has two siblings... Father, Bruce, lettered
in football at Washburn during the 1978 and 1979 seasons... A civil
engineering major.
