Placed 11th in the heptathlon at the Big 12 Indoor Championship.... Earned top honors during the heptathlon at the DeLoss Dodds Invitational with 4,952 points... Set personal bests in the pole vault, shot put, 4x400 and 60 meters during the season... Earned a fifth-place performance at the KU-KSU-WSU Triangular in the 600-yards race.

Placed sixth in his decathlon debut at the Aztec Invitational, scoring 5,645 points.

All-State in all four years at Rossville high school… State champion in the triple jump in 2016… Also played football, where the Bulldogs won state in 2014… Was the valedictorian at Rossville, while also earning the Ronald Reagan Student Leader Award.
