CAREER: Finished career ranking fourth in school history with a 75.32 scoring average, while she tied for third in starts (45), ranked fourth in total rounds (128) and tied for fifth in career victories.
SUPER SENIOR (2023-24): Participated in all 10 team events, recording a 73.50 scoring average to rank third in school history… A key performer in helping the squad set the school record for lowest scoring average at 290.25… Earned an individual victory at the White Sands Invitational at 1-over par 217, helping K-State earn its first team win away from its home course since 2017… Produced the lowest 54-hole score of her career at the Westbrook Invitational when she tied for 18th after carding a 7-under par 209, which tied for seventh in school history… Her performance at the Westbrook Invitational helped K-State set the new school record for lowest 54-hole score (840) and tie the school record for lowest round (277)… Tied her career low round with a 67 at the season-opening Schooner Fall Classic, which tied for 11th in school history… Tied for 12th at the Big 12 Championship at 3-over par 216, helping K-State to a third-place finish to stand as the best finish at a conference championship in school history… Also finished in the top 20 at the MountainView Collegiate, tying for 15th place at 2-under par 214… Ranked second on the team in rounds of even-or under-par golf with 12 and percentage of rounds counted toward the team score at 87.50%, while she was fourth in differentials (average strokes per round behind leader) at 4.79… Named the Big 12 Women’s Golf Student-Athlete of the Year – the first Wildcat women’s golfer to earn the nod – in addition to being a First Team Academic All-Big 12 performer and a member of the Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars Team.
SENIOR (2022-23): Competed in 11 events on the year and led the team with a 73.90 stroke average, which ranked third in school history… Became the fifth Wildcat all-time to earn an individual bid to the postseason as she was selected as the third-ranked individual for the 2023 NCAA San Antonio Regional… Earned the highest placing of her career when she tied for third at the Dale McNamara Invitational with a 1-under par 215… Also had a top-20 finish at The Bruzzy as she tied for 13th place at 7-over par 217… Carded a career-low 54-hole score of 3-under par 213 at the MountainView Collegiate, which tied for the 14th-lowest 54-hole score in school history… Also led the team with nine rounds of even or under par, while 26 of her 27 rounds counted toward the team score.
JUNIOR (2021-22): Saw action in nine events... Tallied a 75.33 stroke average, good for second-best on the team... Named to first team Academic All-Big 12 team for the second straight year... High finish was a tie in 33rd place at the Sam Golden Invitational where she carded a tied-for-career best even par 216... The performance included a career low round of 5-under par 67... 87.04 percent of her rounds counted towards the team score.
SOPHOMORE (2020-21): Competed in seven events, accumulating a 76.71 stroke average… Had 78.57 percent of her rounds count toward the team score… Best finish of the year was a tie for 28th at the Trinity Forest Invitational as she helped the team earn a fourth-place finish… Named to the Academic All-Big 12 team.
FRESHMAN (2019-20): Saw action in 8 events where she averaged 78.23 strokes… Top finish was at Marilynn Smith Invitational where she earned 6th place by shooting 3-over par 216… Shot 3-under par 72 in the first round of the Jim West Challenge… Posted one top-10 and one top-20 performance… Had two rounds at or under par and had 5 rounds count towards team score.
PRIOR TO K-STATE: Named 2016 Lone Star Varsity Athlete of the Year in Girls Golf... Qualified for the 2017 USGA Junior Girls Championship... Won the American Junior Golf Association (AJGA) qualifier in 2017 at Buffalo Dunes GC in Garden City, KS... Won the 2018 James A. Ragan Memorial event on the Texas Golf Association Legends Junior Tour.
PERSONAL: Daughter of René and Jacqie Vargas... Has a younger brother, Logan... Majoring in psychology.
