Rowing

A recent graduate from the program, Madi Haney will enter her first season with the K-State women’s rowing team as an assistant coach, focusing primarily on helping the redshirts as well as assisting in the recruiting process for the team.

Haney was a member of the team from 2012-16. The four-time letterwinner was part of some of the best seasons in the team’s history, helping the 1V8 record back-to-back top-three finishes at the Big 12 Championships during her first two seasons.

During her final three seasons, she helped lead the 1V8 to three-straight gold medals at SIRAs, the final coming during her senior year. Her efforts in the 2016 season earned her a spot on the All-Big 12 Rowing Team.

In the classroom, she was named to the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll seven of her eight semesters. She also earned Academic All-Big 12 First Team all four years, as well as being named a CRCA National Scholar-Athlete her junior and senior year.

Haney is a native of Lenexa, Kansas and a graduate of Olathe Northwest High School. She earned her degree from K-State in Kinesiology and Nutrition in 2016.
