Collin Gallery joined Kansas State Athletics as a Mental Health Clinician in June of 2023. He is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and provides mental health counseling and consultation to student-athletes. Collin uses a client-centered, solution-focused approach, focusing on aspects of personal growth, self-esteem, mindfulness, and goal setting. He believes in a collaborative approach to the therapeutic process. Collin has experience working with concerns related to a client’s sport, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, self-harm/suicidal ideation, and grief, among other life experiences.
Collin graduated from Emporia State with a master’s degree in Clinical Counseling, with an emphasis in Mental Health. He received his bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in Conflict Analysis and Trauma Studies from Kansas State, in 2019. Collin played collegiate football for a season at St. Ambrose University, in Davenport, IA. He also spent two seasons as a Varsity Assistant Football Coach for Blue Valley Southwest High School in Overland Park, KS. Prior to joining the staff in a full-time role, Collin spent a year completing his internship as a Sports Counseling Intern, within the Mental Wellness and Sport Psychology department.
