MANHATTAN, Kan. (AP) - Ashley Sweat scored 16 of her 20 points in the second half to lead No. 25 Kansas State to a 64-55 victory over Creighton on Tuesday.
Marlies Gipson scored 14 points and blocked a season-high five shots, and Kari Kincaid had 10 points for the Wildcats (8-0).
Chevelle Herring led Creighton (2-5) with 23 points. Kelsey Woodward added 15.
Herring made a jump shot in the lane to tie the score at 35 with about 15 minutes left, but Kincaid answered with a deep 3-pointer to give the Wildcats the lead for good.
Herring scored eight points in the first 3 minutes to lead the Bluejays to a 10-0 lead.
The advantage was 11 before the Wildcats used an 18-4 run to take a 20-17 lead with about 6 minutes left in the half. Gipson came up big during that stretch, scoring eight points, and Kansas State went into halftime leading 26-22.
