MANHATTAN, Kansas - Kansas State will finish its exhibition schedule on Monday, November 6, against Fort Hays State at 7 p.m., in Bramlage Coliseum.

• Monday night's game can be seen live on Cox Channel Kansas and for free on K-StateHD.TV, as Brian Smoller (play-by-play) and Missy Heidrick (color analyst) will have the call.  
• K-State opened its exhibition schedule on Friday, November 3, with an 87-65 win over Emporia State in Bramlage.
• Kansas State and Emporia State were knotted at 38 at the half, but the Wildcats used a 31-10 third quarter to distance themselves from the Lady Hornets.
• The Wildcats were led by freshmen Rachel Ranke and Cymone Goodrich with 20 and 16 points, respectively. Ranke did her work from beyond the three-point line as she was 6-of-14. Goodrich added five rebounds, five assists and two steals to her final line.
• Joining the freshmen duo in double figures were sophomore Peyton Williams with 15 points and nine rebounds and senior Kaylee Page with an all-around effort of 14 points, six assists, five rebounds, two blocks and a steal.
• Kansas State was generous with the basketball, as the Wildcats dished out 23 assists on 31 made field goals (74.2 percent). In the 2016-17 season, K-State handed out 20 or more assists four times.
• K-State also did damage from beyond the 3-point line, finishing 10-of-25 (40.0 percent) from the arc. The Wildcats made 10 or more 3-point field goals in a game just once in 2016-17 (vs. LSU on Nov. 25, 2016).

• #KStateWBB returns five players from last season's 23-11 team that reached the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
• The five players registered 989 of the Wildcats' 2,294 points (43.1 percent) last season.
• The 989 returning points are the fewest points from K-State returners since the 2005-06 season.

• The Tigers started their exhibition slate at (1/1) Connecticut on Wednesday, November 1, dropping the game 82-37.
• On the sideline, Fort Hays State is led by 10th-year head coach Tony Hobson. Hobson is 179-85 (.678) in his time in Hays.
• Fort Hays State returns 10 players from last year's squad that finished 22-8. The Tigers surpassed 20 wins for the sixth straight season.

Mittie Entering Fourth Season at K-State
Jeff Mittie, one of the winningest active coaches in NCAA Division I with over 500 career wins, is in his fourth season at the helm of the K-State program in 2017-18.
• Mittie, the ninth head women's basketball coach in K-State history, owns an overall career record of 515-273 (.654) in his previous 25 years as a head coach, including a 61-38 (.616) mark in his first three seasons at K-State.
• The 23 wins in the 2016-17 season by K-State were Mittie's most at the helm of the Wildcats and the most for Mittie since registering 23 in the 2007-08 season at TCU.
• Mittie is the fifth head coach in program history to reach 50 or more wins at K-State.
• Mittie has improved K-State's league win total in each of his three seasons in Manhattan, including his first 20-win season in 2016-17.
• With the 9-0 start to the 2016-17 season, Mittie registered his first 9-0 start to a season at the NCAA Division I level and his first since the 1994-95 season at NCAA Division II Missouri Western (9-0).
• Mittie is the first head coach in program history to win 10 of his first 11 games to begin three straight seasons. Mittie is one of two active head coaches in the Big 12 (Kim Mulkey, Baylor) to win 10 of their 11 games to begin consecutive seasons at their current school.
• He has averaged 21 wins per season and experienced only one losing season in his previous 25 seasons.
• Mittie is the only coach in school history to guide the program to two NCAA Tournament appearances in their first three seasons with the program.
• Mittie has 18 postseason appearances (NCAA or WNIT Tournaments), in which he has a combined record of 18-16.

2017-18 Schedule At a Glance
• K-State's 2017-18 non-conference schedule includes seven games against teams that reached the postseason in 2016-17, including three teams that played in the NCAA Tournament (UCLA, Missouri and Northern Iowa).
• The Wildcats, who enter the season with 914 wins in program history, will matchup against two teams among the top-20 in NCAA Division I women's basketball history for wins, facing Stephen F. Austin (1,030 wins) on Nov. 10 and Penn State (920) on Nov. 25.
• K-State will face UCLA on Nov. 24 in addition to Penn State, in Las Vegas, Nevada, at the South Point Thanksgiving Shootout at the South Point Arena. This will be K-State's first trip to Las Vegas since the 2012-13 season when the Wildcats played in the World Vision Classic.
• For the fourth straight season, Kansas State will host UT Arlington (Dec. 6). K-State has won the previous three meetings in the series. Prior to these four meetings, Kansas State had played UT Arlington just once on Dec. 14, 2008.
• K-State will face Missouri as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge. This is the first regular season meeting between the schools since Feb. 25, 2012.
• The Wildcats will begin Big 12 Conference play on Dec. 28, hosting Baylor. This is the third time in the last five years the the programs will play against each other in the season-opener.

2017-18 Roster Youngest Since 2013-14
• K-State will have one of the youngest rosters in the country this season, as six of the 12 players on the 2017-18 roster are either true freshmen or sophomores. The roster features five true freshmen (Cymone Goodrich, Mary Lakes, Rachel Ranke, Ashley Ray and Alisa Wiggins) and one sophomore (Peyton Williams).
• The roster is the youngest since the 2013-14 season in terms of playing experience, when the Wildcats featured seven true freshmen or redshirt freshmen among its 14 players.
• In terms of K-State playing experience, the Wildcats' roster features seven players that have yet to play a game in purple and white - the five true freshmen and a pair of junior college transfers in Kali Jones and Anastasia Tsybaeva.
• The 2017-18 roster is the third youngest roster in program history, trailing the 1977-78 season, which featured a program-high seven true freshmen, and the 2013-14 season.
