MANHATTAN, Kansas - Kansas State will officially begin its 50th season of intercollegiate women's basketball on Friday against Stephen F. Austin at 5:30 p.m., in Bramlage Coliseum.
• Friday evening's game can be seen live and for free on K-StateHD.TV, as

• Both teams in Friday's matchup are celebrating their 50th season of intercollegiate women's basketball. The programs have combined for 1,944 wins in their storied histories (SFA - 1,030; K-State, 914).
• Since its first intercollegiate season in 1968-69, K-State's overall record entering the season stands at 914-567 (.617). The Wildcats rank 18th in NCAA Division I women's basketball history for program wins and just the second Big 12 school to surpass the 900-win mark (Texas).
• K-State ended its exhibition schedule unbeaten, with a 61-46 win over Fort Hays State on Monday night.
• The Wildcats were led by sophomore forward
Peyton Williams with a game-high 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting.
• In the two exhibition games, Williams led K-State in scoring with 17.5 points on a .750 field goal percentage, while pulling in 6.5 rebounds.

• This was the first time K-State scored 2,000 or more points in consecutive seasons since reaching the mark in eight straight seasons from 2001-02 to 2008-09.
• The 2016-17 season was the first time since the 2013-14 season (8) that K-State had eight players with 100 or more points scored and just the second time since at least the 2000-01 season.

Kaylee Page has been one of K-State's top marksmen during her career.
• Page averaged 1.4 made 3-point field goals per game and made two or more in a game 16 times in 2016-17. When Page made two or more 3-pointers in a in the 2016-17 season, K-State was 13-3. When she makes fewer than two, the Wildcats were 10-7.
