Oct 12, 2018 | Women's Golf
MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Kansas State women's golf team will be back in action Sunday through Tuesday at the second-annual Magnolia Invitational in West Point, Mississippi. The event will be hosted at the par-72, 6,320-yard Old Waverly Golf Club.
The three-day invitational will consist of 54 holes, with 18 holes being played each day. K-State tees off at 9:20 a.m., on Sunday, while the second round begins with tee times at 8 a.m., on Monday. Tuesday's final round is set for an 8 a.m., shotgun start.
This will be the Wildcats' second-consecutive year competing in the invitational, as they carded a 34-over par 898 to finish in ninth place during last year's inaugural event.
The Wildcats will send Ella Adams, Chloe Weir, Reid Isaac, Niamh McSherry and Briony Bayles to compete in the event, the same lineup they used in last week's Illini's Women's Invitational
Adams, a sophomore, will look to build off her performance last week where she carded a 3-under par 213, which was a career-low 54-hole score. The Adelaide, Australia, native's performance was good enough to tie in 13thplace, also a career best.
Kansas State will be joined in the field by defending champion and co-tournament host Ole Miss, as well as Auburn, Coastal Carolina, East Tennessee, Kennesaw State, LSU, Memphis, Middle Tennessee, co-tournament host Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Southern Miss and Virginia Tech.
