Cats Eye Season Sweep of Bears

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State seeks a season sweep of the Baylor Bears Saturday night, with first serve set for 6 p.m. at Ahearn Field House as part of a Wildcat Weekend.
K-State (13-10, 3-9 Big 12), who defeated then-No. 24 Baylor in straight sets at the Ferrell Center back on October 20, seek its first season sweep of the Bears since 2012. Since the season's first meeting, BU (16-7, 8-4 Big 12) has won four consecutive matches and are receiving votes in the latest AVCA Top 25 poll.
Fans can purchase a general admission ticket for just $3 with a K-State vs. Kansas football ticket.
Saturday's match will be broadcast live on ESPN3 and the ESPN app. Rob Voelker will be on the call on News Radio KMAN (93.3 FM, 1350 AM) with free, live audio available at K-StateSports.com/watch.

- K-State (13-10, 3-9 Big 12) sits in eighth place in the Big 12 standings after it fell at No. 5 Texas Wednesday night at Gregory Gymnasium, 25-19, 25-15, 25-19.

- The Bears, who are receiving votes in the latest AVCA Top 25 Poll, have won six of their last seven overall.
- Sophomore outside hitter Yossiana Pressley continues to pace the Big 12 with her 5.01 kills per set in all matches and 4.93 kills a set in conference matches.
- Pressley's kills/set average is third-highest in the nation.
- Middle blocker Shelly Fanning is the league's leader in hitting percentage at .410 (.415 in league play).
- As a team, BU leads the Big 12 in kills per set at 14.14 and assists per set with 13.39.
- Defensively, Baylor is second in team digs/set at 15.56.

- K-State leads the all-time series, 29-17, dating back to 1993.

- The Omaha product has been the Wildcats' leader in kills in three of the last five matches.
- Heyne produced a career-best 15 kills while hitting .467 at No. 24 Baylor on Oct. 20 on her way to being tabbed Big 12 Rookie of the Week.

- Following Heyne's second Rookie of the Week honor, K-State now has seven weekly awards from the Big 12 - tied for most in the league with Baylor.
