Wildcats, Jayhawks Prepped for Sunflower Showdown

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State welcomes in-state rival Kansas for the season's first Dillons Sunflower Showdown set to air on ESPNU at 6 p.m. from Ahearn Field House.
The Wildcats (6-12, 1-5 Big 12) seek their third consecutive victory in the series after sweeping both matches a season ago. KU (6-10, 2-4 Big 12) is fresh off a straight-set victory over TCU at home and is 2-8 over its last 10 matches.
Freshman Dru Kuck was named Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week Monday following her career-high 36 digs in a five-set defeat at Oklahoma last Wednesday. Kuck's output tied the third-most in K-State history during the rally-scoring era (since 2001) and marked the highest total by any player in the Big 12 this season.
In addition to being broadcast nationally on ESPNU, the match will also be available on the ESPN app and WatchESPN.com. Fans can listen to Rob Voelker on News Radio KMAN (93.3 FM, 1350 AM) with free, live audio streaming at K-StateSports.com/watch.
