Gandon, who played the afternoon round shirtless due to an allergic reaction to fire ants, still managed to tally six birdies over the 36 holes as he shot a 2-under par in round one and was even in round two. Massimino was 1-under par in both rounds.
"Overall, I was pretty pleased with our play today," head coach Grant Robbins said. "We had a very solid opening round and were playing well early in round two, but we just made a few mistakes coming in. I like the position we are in. The weather could be a challenge tomorrow, so it's important that we stay patient play our game and put a solid round together."
