On the day overall…
"It's a 3-3 game after seven in Game 1. You make five errors you can't beat anybody. You're giving a really good team runs, which you can't afford to do. Then you come to Game 2, it's a tight game, and they pitched it very well and we couldn't get the big hit. We couldn't put enough pressure on them to score after the second frame, which is disappointing because we are more than capable of doing that offensively. You have to have a short-term memory in this game, especially with doubleheaders and especially with in a three-game series. We've to wake up tomorrow and play well."
On Jordan Wicks' outing…
"He was excellent. I know he's frustrated, you strike out nine and that's a really good team with some really good hitters. He's frustrated because he couldn't finish people. I think they scored all four runs [in Game 2] with two outs and their big hits came with two strikes – even when we had big advantage counts. He's better than that, he's really good at putting people away but they're really good hitters, too. He competes like crazy and he always pitches good enough to give his teammates a chance to win.
