MANHATTAN, Kansas - Kansas State women's basketball capped its 51st season of action with an overall record of 21-12 and was an at-large selection for the 2019 NCAA Tournament in the Albany region.
• Under the guidance of fifth year head coach
Jeff Mittie, K-State made its fifth straight postseason appearance. Mittie is the second coach in school history (Lynn Hickey) to guide the program to five postseason appearances in their first five seasons with the program.
• K-State finished with an overall record above .500 for the fifth straight season. The Wildcats tied for fourth in Big 12 play and advanced at least one round in the Big 12 Women's Basketball Championships for the 17th time in program history.
• K-State swept the season series against Texas and Oklahoma for the first time since the Big 12 switched to a full round-robin schedule in the 2012-13 season. Both wins against Texas were Associated Press top-25 wins. This extended K-State's streak to 13 consecutive seasons with at least one win over an AP top 25 foe.
• Mittie secured his 100th career win at the helm of the Wildcats, reaching the mark on March 9, 2019, against West Virginia. Mittie is the fourth K-State women's basketball head coach to reach the 100-win mark during their K-State career. He was the third-fastest K-State head coach to 100 wins in program history.
• K-State was led by 2019 All-Big 12 First Team selections:
Kayla Goth and
Peyton Williams in the 2018-19 season. Williams (496) and Goth (410) were responsible for 42.6 percent of K-State's scoring in 2018-19.
• Over the last two seasons, the duo combined for 2,003 points which was 45.1 percent of K-State's point total during this time. Since the 2000-01 season, Goth and Williams rank third among the highest scoring tandems over a two-season span in program history, trailing only Nicole Ohlde and Kendra Wecker.
• Goth, a 2019 Nancy Lieberman Award candidate, led the Big 12 and ranked among the top-five in the nation with 226 assists (6.8 apg). She is the first player in program history to register consecutive seasons of 225 or more assists.
• The senior from DeForest, Wisconsin, was just one of three players in the nation to register 400 or more points and 225 or more assists in consecutive seasons. She is the first player in program history to reach this mark in back-to-back seasons and one of three players among the history of Big 12 schools to achieve the feat.
• Williams, a 2019 Katrina McClain Award candidate, led the team in scoring with a career-high average of 15.5 points on a .486 field goal percentage. She also pulled in a career-high 9.5 rebounds per game (303). She also led the team and the Big 12 for double-doubles with 14.
• The junior from Topeka, Kansas, was the third player in program history with 475 or more points and 300 or more rebounds in a season. Her 303 rebounds rank fourth in school history for a single season.
• Williams also garnered Big 12 All-Defensive Team honors, as she tallied 37 blocked shots and 62 steals.
• K-State also remained successful in the classroom, as three players earned Academic All-Big 12 honors (1st: Goth,
Alisa Wiggins, Williams).
• Williams earned Google Cloud Academic All-District VII First Team honors selected by CoSIDA.

• K-State registered 271 steals (8.2 spg) this season. Of the 531 turnovers by the opponents, 51.0 percent came from a K-State steal. This was the fifth straight season the Wildcats bagged 250 or more steals in a season.
• Kansas State ranked fourth in the Big 12 in steals per game.
• The Wildcats had 10 or more steals in 12 games, including a season-high of 18 against West Virginia on March 9. The 18 steals set a school record for a Big 12 Championship game.
• K-State tied the school record for steals in an NCAA Tournament game, as the Wildcats swiped 15 against Michigan.

• After a slow start to the 2018-19 season in scoring, K-State picked up the pace in the final 11 games of the season.

• Williams has a career-high 14 double-doubles in 32 games played this season. She is tied for the Big 12 lead and ranked 32nd in the nation for double-doubles. Williams had more double-doubles than four teams in the Big 12.
• The product of Topeka, Kansas, ranks tied for third in program history for double-doubles in a season. She is the first Wildcat with 10 or more double-doubles in a season since Kendra Wecker set the school record with 17 double-doubles in the 2004-05 season.
• In games Williams has tallied a double-double this season, the Wildcats are 12-2. When she notches a double-double, Williams is averaging 17.9 points on a .530 field goal percentage, 12.1 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 2.1 steals and 0.9 blocks.

Ranke with Range

Rachel Ranke made an impact to K-State's lineup from the perimeter in her debut season in 2017-18 and continued to do so in the 2018-19 season.
• Ranke averaged 10.0 points and 3.3 rebounds. She led the team with 71 three-point field goals made this season. Ranke ranks fourth in program history for 3-point field goals made by a sophomore.
• Since the 2000-01 season, Ranke has made the second-most 3-point field goals in the first two seasons of a K-State career with 160 conversions.
• She ranked fourth in the Big 12 in 3-point field goals made per game (2.2) and 12th in the league in 3-point field goal percentage (.318).
• Over the final 10 games, Ranke averaged 12.8 points with 3.1 three-point field goals made per game.
• This season, Ranke set new career season-highs for assists (41; 1.2 apg), blocks (10; 0.3 bpg) and steals (38; 1.2 spg).

Kali Jones set a career season-high for rebounds in the 2018-19 season, as she was second on the team with 4.7 rebounds per game (151 rebounds) in 21.8 minutes.
• Of her 151 total rebounds, 77 (2.4 orpg) have come on the offensive end of the floor. Jones ranked 11th in the Big 12 in offensive rebounding. She had three games this season with five or more offensive rebounds.
• Against North Texas and at Texas, Jones set a new career-high with 11 rebounds. She had four career games with 10 or more rebounds.
• Including her 11 games at UC Santa Barbara in 2015-16, Jones owns 130 offensive rebounds in her career which is 46.3 percent of her career total.
New Carr
• In her first season with the Wildcats,
Christianna Carr averaged 9.8 points, 1.7 three-point field goals made and 2.8 rebounds. The 2019 Big 12 All-Freshman Team recipient reached double figures in scoring in 13 games this season.
• Carr made 56 three-point field goals this season, which was second on the team. Her total of 56 ranked tied for sixth for a freshman in program history. She is the fourth K-State freshman to register 325 or more points and 50 or more three-point field goals made in a season.
• Carr has 15 games with two or more 3-point field goals made including a high of five against Vanderbilt on December 2.
• Carr is a two-time USBWA National Freshman of the Week and Big 12 Freshman of the Week selection this season (Jan. 22 & March 5).
• Against Princeton, Carr achieved a career-high 22 points on 7-of-16 shooting including 4-of-8 from beyond the arc.
• Against Vanderbilt, she carded her second straight 20-point game with 21 points on 7-of-16 shooting including a career-best 5-of-11 from 3-point range.
