• K-State made its first appearance in the USA Today/WBCA Coaches Poll in over 10 years, as the Wildcats were ranked 25th in the Dec. 6, 2022, ranking. The last time K-State was in the Coaches Poll was Jan. 16, 2012, at 22nd.
2. Cats in Historic Muni
• For the second time in four seasons, the Wildcats will play a regular season non-conference game in Kansas City's historic Municipal Auditorium, as K-State faces South Dakota State. K-State owns a 14-14 all-time record in Municipal.
3. All the Delicious Turnovers
• K-State forced a season-high 33 turnovers by Kansas City on Dec. 7. The 33 turnovers forced are the second-most in the Big 12 this season and the most by a K-State foe in the last nine seasons.
4. G-Squared On Doorstep of 1K
• Senior Gabby Gregory needs 13 points to reach 1,000 points in her collegiate career (785 at Oklahoma; 202 at K-State). She has paced the Wildcats this season with 20.2 points per game and leads the Big 12 and ranks 20th in the nation in scoring average and paces the Big 12 and ranks ninth in the nation for total points scored (202).

• Sophomore guard Serena Sundell is the only player in the Big 12 averaging 12 or more points, 6 or more rebounds and five or more assists.

• South Dakota State (5-4) enters Saturday's game following an 80-69 home win over Northern Iowa on Dec. 3. Among their five wins this season, three have come against Power 5 programs - Mississippi State, Rutgers and Louisville.
• The Jackrabbits capped their 2021-22 season by winning the Postseason WNIT over Seton Hall, 82-50.
• On the sideline, South Dakota State is led by 23rd-year head coach Aaron Johnston. The 1996 graduate of Gustavus Adolphus owns a career record of 547-176 (.749), all at South Dakota State and has led the Jackrabbits to 10 NCAA Division I Tournament appearances.
• On the floor, the Jackrabbits are led by redshirt senior Myah Selland and sophomore Haleigh Timmer.
• Selland, a forward from Letcher, S.D., is the team's top scorer at 15.2 points per game and second-leading rebounder at 6.1 per game. Against Northern Iowa, Selland tallied 19 points on 8-of-11 shooting, six assists and three steals.

• K-State won its sixth home game of the season and its 17th straight home game against non-conference opponents with a 72-45 victory over Kansas City.
• The Wildcats forced a season-high 33 turnovers, including 20 by way of steal, and scored 32 points off those turnovers.
• Emilee Ebert led K-State with 14 points, while Gabby Gregory notched 12 points, six rebounds, three assists and three steals.
• Brylee Glenn and Eliza Maupin scored 11 and 10 points, respectively, leading to a 30-point bench effort.

K-State Among the Rankings
• After a one-week absence, K-State has returned to the Associated Press poll as they are 24th in the nation in the Dec. 5 edition.
• Kansas State joined the Associated Press (AP) top-25 poll for the first time this season on Nov. 21, which was the earliest ranking in the AP ranking for the WIldcats since the preseason poll of the 2004-05 season.
• As a ranked team, K-State owns a 226-86 (.724) record. In its history, K-State has been ranked for 172 weeks in the AP poll including 14 weeks in the Jeff Mittie era.
• For the first time in 10 years and the first time during Mittie's time at K-State, the Wildcats are ranked in the USA Today/WBCA Coaches Poll - coming in at 25th on Dec. 6. The last time K-State was ranked in the Coaches Poll was Jan. 16, 2012 at No. 22.
• With its recent ranking in the Coaches Poll, K-State has now been ranked for 93 weeks in program history in the poll.

K-State's 12th Month Record
• In the 55th year of women's basketball at K-State, the Wildcats own a record of 235-101 (.699) in the month of December.
• Under head coach Jeff Mittie, K-State is 34-16 (.680) in the month of December.
• K-State has had a .500 or better record in the month of December 46 times in its history, including a current streak of 26 consecutive seasons.

Block It & Pocket
• When combining blocks and steal totals in a single game, K-State is 27-0 over the last 15 seasons when achieving a combination of 20+ steals and blocks in the same game.
• K-State is 18-0 under head coach Jeff Mittie when achieving a combination of 20+ steals and blocks in the same game. 
• The Wildcats recorded a combination totalling 28 (20 steals/eight blocks) against Kansas City on December 7, 2022. This tied for the highest total in the Mittie era, which was originally achieved against Abilene Christian on Dec. 22, 2014.

• Kansas State has used an opportunistic defense to create additional offensive chances this season.
• K-State's opponents have turned the ball over 186 times (18.6 topg). K-State ranks third in the Big 12 in turnover margin at +5.3. 
• The Wildcats have tallied 182 points off opponent turnovers (18.2 per game | 0.98 points per turnover). The 182 points are 23.5 percent of K-State's overall point total.

Gregory Approaches 1,000 Points
• Guard Gabby Gregory has been a dynamic addition to the K-State lineup this season.
• In her career, Gregory has scored 987 points (12.0 ppg) and needs 13 points to reach 1,000 in her career.
• This season, Gregory is averaging 20.2 points on a .429 field goal percentage, including a .358 three-point percentage and an .841 free throw percentage. She is also tied for the team lead on the glass with  6.1 rebounds. 
• Gregory leads the Big 12 and ranks 20th in the nation in scoring average and ranks ninth in the nation for total points scored (202).
• Against Northern Arizona on Nov. 25, Gregory attained a career-high 35 points and pulled in 10 rebounds to notch her second career double-double. She is the 10th player in program history to score 35 or more points in a game and the point total ranks tied for 10th in school history for points in a single-game.
• This was Gregory's first career game with at least 30 points and 10 or more rebounds. 
• The product of Tulsa, Oklahoma, earned her first career Big 12 Player of the Week honor following the first week, as she averaged 22.0 points per contest  on a 50.0 percent field goal percentage including a 40.0 percent effort from 3-point range, a 90.9 percent effort from the foul line, 8.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists. Her 44 points in the first two games were the most by a Wildcat in their first two games in purple and white.

Glenn Gains Possession
• Jaelyn Glenn has proven to be a defender with quick hands.
• To open the 2022-23 season, Glenn has tallied a team-high 26 steals (2.6 spg). She leads the Big 12 in steals per game and leads the league and ranks 22nd in the nation for total steals.
• Glenn has pocketed two or more steals in a game eight times this season including three games with four or more.
• The last Wildcat to average two or more assists for a season was Ashia Woods (2.2 spg) in the 2014-15 season.
• In the season-opener against Central Arkansas on Nov. 7, Glenn notched four steals and followed that effort with five steals against Wisconsin on Nov. 11.
• For her career, Glenn possesses 19 games with two or more steals including six games with four or more steals.
• In the 2021-22 season, Glenn led K-State in steals with 1.4 per game and 46 total thefts.
• Glenn set her career-high with six steals against Texas Tech on Feb. 5, 2022.
