Cats Make Tuesday Stop at Cal State Fullerton

FULLERTON, Calif. – In the midst of a seven-game California road trip, K-State will make a stop at Cal State Fullerton Tuesday night to take on the Titans at Goodwin Field at 8 p.m. CT.
K-State (1-5) salvaged the final game of a three-game series at CSU Bakersfield over the weekend, getting two home runs from Dylan Phillips and 7 2/3 scoreless relief innings from Blake Corsentino. The Wildcats dropped a pair of one-run games to open the series and snapped a five-game skid to begin the season.
Phillips' two homers moved him into sole possession of third place on K-State's career home run list at 33. He sits four away from tying Scott Poepard's record of 37 career home runs.
Wesley Moore will get his first start as a Wildcat Tuesday night, making his second appearance of the season. Moore, a left-hander, missed the majority of the 2021 season with an arm injury.
K-State and Cal State Fullerton (1-5) will meet for the first time. The Cats were a participant in the 2011 NCAA Fullerton Regional played at Goodwin Field.
