FULLERTON, Calif. – Cal State Fullerton scored three runs in the bottom of the eighth, getting three triples in the inning, to take a back-and-forth tilt from K-State Tuesday night at Goodwin Field, 7-5.

Nate Nankil led off the home eighth with a triple off reliever Griffin Hassall. Two batters later, Jack Haley tripled home Nankil to tie the game and chased Hassall from the game after 2 1/3 innings.
The Titans (2-5) took the lead when Haley ran home on a passed ball before Caden Connor tripled and scored on a throwing error. Hassall, who had retired five straight batters before the eighth, suffered the loss after allowing two earned runs on three hits.
Fullerton built up a 4-0 advantage with a run in the first, two in the second and another in the fifth.

Fajardo surrendered only one unearned run over his 3 1/3 innings of work, striking out five in his second outing of the season.
Eight of the nine starters in the Cats' lineups registered a base hit, as K-State reached double-figure hits for the second straight game. Justin Mitchell and Salinas both turned in two-hit days, while Mitchell now has three multi-hit efforts in his last four contests.
Connor, Haley and Austin Schell each finished with two hits for the Titans.
Fullerton starter Fynn Chester scattered a pair of hits in three innings, striking out three without a walk.
