Five Wildcats Compete in Second Day in New Mexico

K-State travels to Fayetteville next Friday for the Tyson Invitational

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The K-State men's and women's track and field teams competed on Saturday (February 4) in the second day of the New Mexico Collegiate Classic in Albuquerque, N.M. at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
 
It was a light day for the Wildcats as five women competed in three events.
 
Junior Shalom Olotu was the only one to compete in field events, finishing in the top-15 at 13th in the women's triple jump at 12.21m/40-0.75, out of 36 competitors.
 
Junior Shalysa Wray competed in the preliminary women's 60 meter dash, finishing 27th in 7.47 seconds.
 
Three women competed in the qualifying rounds of the women's 60 meter hurdles, as juniors Urte Bacianskaite (25th; 9.14) and Maddie Righter (30th; 9.23) and freshman Delaney Wright (31st; 9.27) all finished in the top-35.
 
On Friday in Lincoln, Neb. three Wildcats competed at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational at the Bob Devaney Sports Center. Junior Jesse Pinkley (11th; 4.60m/15-1) in the men's pole vault. In the women's pole vault, freshman Claire Bybee (10th; 3.73m/12-2.75) and junior Reagan Hukill (12; 3.73m/12-2.75).
 
K-State travels to Fayetteville, Ark., on Saturday (February 10) and Sunday (February 11) for the Tyson Invitational hosted by Arkansas.
