K-State Rowing to Race in Hornet Invitational

First race begins at 10 a.m. CT on Saturday

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The K-State women's rowing team is set to race in Sacramento, Calif. in the Hornet Invitational on Saturday (March 18) hosted by Sacramento State on Lake Natoma.
 
Current weather conditions in California, including persistent flooding, have continued to impact scheduling and potential competition as the Wildcats prepare for tomorrow. Updates, including any cancellation of racing, will be shared through social media when possible.
 
Racing is set to begin at 10:30 a.m. CT with races starting every 15 minutes. The afternoon session will start at 5:00 p.m. CT with races going every 15 minutes. Competition will include Sac State, Humboldt State, and St. Mary's.
 
Morning Session:
 
10:30 a.m. 2v8+
11:00 a.m. 1v8+
11:45 a.m. N8+
12:15 p.m. V4+ (K-State "A" and K-State "B")
 
Afternoon Session:
 
5:15 p.m. 1v8+
5:30 p.m. 2v8+ (K-State "A" and K-State "B")
6:15 p.m. V4+ (K-State "A" and K-State "B")
 
K-State started the season the first weekend in March in Oklahoma City competing against OU, Central Oklahoma and Tulsa. Three Wildcats boats finished first, the 1v4+, in both the morning and afternoon sessions, and the 2v4+ in the afternoon session.  The 'Cats also earned two second place finishes and five third place finishes across all races.
