MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State head volleyball coach Jason Mansfield announced the addition of Wisconsin transfer Liz Gregorski to the Wildcats' 2023 roster on Friday.
"Liz is a special player with the skill set to play the whole game at a really high level," Mansfield commented. "More importantly Liz is an incredible person and will add so much to our program with her character, competitiveness, and leadership. Her experience at one of the best programs in the country allows her to understand the excellence in which we are trying to elevate this program to. I'm so excited for her journey to continue at K-State."
Gregorski, a 5-foot-11 outside hitter from Appleton, Wisconsin, comes to Manhattan following four seasons at Wisconsin. During her time with the Badgers, she helped the volleyball squad to four Big 10 Championships and the program's first NCAA National Championship title in 2021.
"I'm beyond excited to be a part of the K-State family, and I can't thank Coach Mansfield enough for the opportunity to be a Wildcat," said Gregorski.
At Wisconsin, Gregorski appeared in 33 matches for the Badgers, logging 11 service aces and 15 digs.
Prior to her commitment, Gregorski was a three-time all-state selection for coach Luke Herriges at Xavier High School where she recorded over 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs in her career. She was a two-time first team all-conference honoree and was named the conference player of the year as a sophomore.
A member of the Fox Cities Elite club under coach Brett Damrow, Gregorski aided her team to a fifth-place finish at the 2017 USA Volleyball Junior Nationals and earned all-tournament honors. She was also named the 2017 Showcase MVP.
Gregorski is the daughter of Candi and Bob Gregorski and sister to Alex and Charlie. Her father, Bob, played for the Badgers' golf team from 1981-84 and was elected to the Wisconsin State Golf Association Hall of Fame in 2004.
