K-State's Lee Named Top-10 Finalist for Lisa Leslie Award

MANHATTAN, Kansas – K-State senior center and All-American candidate Ayoka Lee has been named a top-10 candidate for the 2024 Lisa Leslie Award, presented by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. This is the third straight season Lee has been named a top-10 candidate for the Lisa Leslie Award.
The Lisa Leslie Award is named after the three-time All-American, 1994 National Player of the Year and Class of 2015 Hall of Famer.
Fans can support their favorite players in the remaining rounds by participating in Fan Voting, presented by Dell Technologies, starting Friday, January 26, on hoophallawards.com. The Fan Vote will count as one committee vote during the finalist selection process.
The final 5 candidates for the award will be released to the public on a day-by-day basis starting the week of March 4, with voting set to follow on March 8. The list is fluid throughout the whole process and players have the ability to play themselves on or off our list until the winner is finally selected. The winner of this award, as well as presentation details, will be announced towards the end of the season.

The two-time USBWA/Ann Meyers Drysdale National Player of the Week recipient this season has had a strong 2023-24, as she is averaging 19.8 points on a career-best .677 field goal percentage, 8.2 rebounds and 2.7 blocked shots. She ranks second in the nation and leads the Big 12 in field goal percentage. Lee is fourth in the Big 12 in scoring average and second for blocks per game.
Lee, a Wooden Award Midseason Top-25 recipient, has recorded nine games this season with 20 or more points including her second career 20-20 double-double with 24 points, 21 rebounds and five blocked shots against Oral Roberts.
In her career, Lee ranks fourth in school history for points scored with 2,017, second for rebounds with 1,034, the school record holder for career blocks with 284 and owns the school record for career double-doubles with 55.
