Mason Earns All-Region Honors

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State men's golfer Nicklaus Mason was honored for his play during his senior campaign by being named to the 2025 NCAA Division I PING All-Central Region Team, the Golf Coaches Association of America announced.

A native of Shawnee, Kansas, Mason earned K-State's 12th all-region accolade in program history, including the third in the last three seasons as Will Hopkins and Tim Tillmanns were honored following the 2022-23 campaign.

Mason led the Wildcats with a 71.88 scoring average in 2024-25 to go along with four top-10 finishes and a pair of victories. His winning total of 199 at the Steelwood Collegiate Invitational ranked third in school history – one shot behind the school record – while his second-round total of 64 in that event tied for the third-best 18-hole score in program history.

He started the season with a victory at the Wildcat Invitational, the first win of his collegiate career. He became the first Wildcat to win multiple individual titles in a single season since Jeremy Gandon in 2016-17.

After guiding the Wildcats to their third NCAA Regional appearance in his four-year career, Mason finished his time at K-State ranking fourth in program history with a 72.30 career scoring average. He is also tied for third in career wins (2), seventh in tournaments played (44), ninth in rounds (128) and 10th in top-five finishes (6). He holds three of the top nine rounds in school history and three of the top 25 54-hole scores in school history.
