Clinton Selected to Preseason All-Big 12 Team

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State redshirt junior Aniya Clinton was selected to the 2025 Preseason All-Big 12 Volleyball Team, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Clinton, a 6-foot-2 outside hitter and opposite, was one of 18 to earn a spot on the conference's preseason squad. The Wildcats were picked eighth in the league's annual preseason poll, collecting 95 points.

The Preseason All-Big 12 Team and annual preseason poll were determined by a vote of the league's head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own student-athletes.

A product of Midland, Texas, Clinton enters her third season as a Wildcat with 448 kills (2.59 per set), a .204 hitting percentage, and 87 total blocks (0.50 per set).

Last season, she appeared in 23 matches and 81 sets, ranking third on the team with 187 kills (2.31 per set) and adding 29 blocks. She recorded double-digit kills in eight matches, highlighted by a career-high 25 kills at UCF on November 20.

In 2023, Clinton was named to the All-Big 12 Rookie Team and earned multiple Big 12 Rookie of the Week honors.

K-State is set to return eight letterwinners from last year's squad and welcomed six incoming freshmen during the offseason. The Wildcats will host a Purple & White intrasquad scrimmage on August 20 at Morgan Family Arena before traveling to Oklahoma for an exhibition match against the Sooners on August 23. K-State's 2025 season officially gets underway on August 29, when the Wildcats host UMBC and Delaware in the annual K-State Invitational.
