Overall comments…
"A really good Arizona State team. We just needed to convert a couple more plays in each set to take one. That's easier said than done against a team that balanced offensively, and a really-good serve and pass team. They put a lot of pressure on us from the service line. I thought our defense was good, and we did a good job slowing them down, especially when we got them off the net. I also thought our servers were aggressive today.
Â
We're still looking for a little more offense. We're playing really good, physical teams in the Big 12, and we have to match that physicality while finding ways to take better swings and give ourselves more chances to score. That's something we'll keep working on. But we were right there with them. I know the scores don't necessarily show it, but we were only a couple plays away in every set from pushing it to four or five. I love the players in that locker room, I love this team, and I believe in them. We just need to keep believing in ourselves."
