Rowing Competes in Final Race of Regular Season in Creighton Duel

The Wildcats won four races over the Bluejays last year
MANHATTAN, Kan. – The K-State women's rowing team will wrap up the regular season on Thursday (April 30) in the annual Creighton Duel at Carter Lake in Omaha, Neb.
Racing is set for 9 a.m. with the following provisional race schedule:
9:00 a.m. - 1v8+
9:15 a.m. - 2v8+
9:30 a.m. - 1v4+
9:45 a.m. - 2v4+
10:00 a.m. - 3v8+
"We're looking forward to racing this weekend. The team has done a good job of holding their focus throughout the season," head coach Kennedy Felice said. "We've gotten faster race to race, and it's been good to see each crew progress throughout. This race is another opportunity to continue pushing the program forward and set ourselves up for Big 12s."
Last season the Wildcats were dominant in four races over the Bluejays, winning by margins of over 20 seconds.
After the duel, K-State will compete in the Big 12 Championship on May 17, back in Sarasota, Fla.
In the previous race, the SIRA Championship on April 18-19 in Oak Ridge Tenn., the Cats came back with three medals, gold for the 3v8+ and silver for the 1v4+ and 2v4+.
On April 11 the Wildcats raced in the annual Sunflower Showdown against in-state rival Kansas with the Jayhawks taking the Kansas Cup with 22 points.
During the first two races of the season, Sarasota 2k on March 27-28, the 3v8+ and 1v4+ competed in the Petite 'B' final. During the Hornet Invitational on March 14-15, the 1v4+ won two out of its three races.
