K-State Men’s Team Named USTFCCCA Indoor National Scholar Team of the Year

27 Wildcats were also named All-Academic Athletes, another honor for multiple athletes
MANHATTAN, Kan. – The K-State men's and women's track and field teams earned academic accolades from the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) on July 20 as the men's team was named the Indoor National Scholar Team of the Year while 27 Wildcats were named All-Academic Athletes.
The men's team was named the Indoor National Scholar Team after finishing in 4th place at the NCAA Championship on March 14 in Fayetteville, Ark., and earning a GPA of 3.23. The women's team was also named an All-Academic Team with a 3.46 GPA.
Twelve men and 15 women were named All-Academic Athletes; for the men, Oskars Bambals, Thomas Canivet, Tah Chikomba, Croix DaCunha, Mattix DaCunha, Jack Guthridge, Kade McCall, Gary Moore Jr., Uroy Ryan, Emil Uhlin, Tavon Underwood and Cyrus Ways.
Honors for the women include Delaney Brinker, Zoey Brinker, Reese Brownlee, Jourdin Edwards, Sharie Enoe, Aaliyah Foster, Kayla Goodwin, Vienna Lahner, Aaliyah Lindsay, Taylor Mayo, Destini Smith, Tesia Thomas, Shanniqua Williams, Delaney Wright and Maud Zeffou-Poaty.
Georgia was named the National Scholar Team of the Year for the women's indoor and both the men's and women's outdoor.
The Wildcats previously earned the distinction in 2024 under former head coach Cliff Rovelto, the men's and women's teams were named All-Academic for nine straight years. 12 Wildcats have been named All-Academic multiple times now, Bambals, Edwards, Foster, Goodwin, Lahner, Lindsay, Mayo, McCall, Ryan, Thomas, Uhlin and Zeffou-Poaty.
Other Big 12 Conference teams to be named All-Academic include both the men's and women's programs from Arizona, Baylor, BYU, Colorado, Houston, Iowa State, Kansas, Oklahoma State and Texas Tech. The women's teams from UCF, Utah and West Virginia were also named.
A total of 295 Big 12 athletes were named All-Academic Athletes, BYU led on the men's side with 21 athletes while Texas Tech had the most with 26 women. BYU led the men's teams with the highest average GPA at 3.43 while the women's tied for the highest with West Virginia at a 3.66 GPA.
All-Academic Teams are awarded to programs with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. All-Academic Athletes must have a 3.25 GPA on a 4.00 scale and during the 2025-26 season either finished in the top 96 in their event during the indoor season or finished in the top 48 in their event, participating in any round of the outdoor NCAA Championships.
