CAREER:
A talented place kicker who originally came to K-State as a walk-on and
left with his name in the school’s record book... Served as the
full-time place kicker in 2013 and for a majority of the 2015 season...
Ranks fourth in school history in career field goal percentage (77.8)
and 10th in career field goals made (28)... Also ranked in the school’s
top-10 in career extra points (82; 7th) and field goals (36; 10th)
attempted... Helped K-State accumulate a 34-18 record, a Big 12
Championship in 2012 and four-straight bowl berths.

Connected on 12-of-14 field goals and all 29 extra-point attempts en
route to earning First Team All-Big 12 honors from the league’s coaches,
while he was an honorable mention pick as the Big 12 Special Teams
Player of the Year... Became K-State’s first First Team All-Big 12 place
kicker since Jamie Rheem in 2000... Teamed with fellow place kicker
Matthew McCrane, who earned Honorable Mention All-Big 12 accolades, to
become just the second place-kicking duo in league history to earn
All-Big 12 honors in the same season (2001 Colorado)... Ranked second in
the Big 12 and 10th nationally in field-goal percentage (85.7)...
Tallied the eighth perfect season in school history in terms of
extra-point percentage, while he carded the fifth-best mark in school
history in terms of single-season field goal percentage... Was true on a
game-winning 42-yarder against Iowa State with three seconds remaining,
his second-career game-winning field goal (2013 vs. TCU)... Earned Big
12 Special Teams Player of the Week and Lou Groza Award Star of the Week
honors following the Louisiana Tech game when he made all four
field-goal attempts, including a career-long tying 44-yarder to send
game into third overtime... His four field goals against the Bulldogs
were tied for the second most in school history, while it was the fifth
time in K-State history a kicker was perfect on at least four field
goals in a game.

Saw action in seven games, serving as the primary place kicker in the
first three contests... Made 5-of-9 field goals on the year, including a
season-long 43-yarder against Stephen F. Austin... Made two field goals
against the Lumberjacks and two at Iowa State, including a 41-yarder...
Was also true on all six extra-point attempts against SFA... Made a
39-yard field goal against Kansas... Earned First Team Academic All-Big
12 honors.

One of the top place kickers in the Big 12 who connected on 11-of-13
field goals... Finished fourth in the Big 12 by connecting on
84.6-percent of his field goals, sixth in field goals (1.10 per game),
seventh in overall scoring (7.3 points per game) and sixth in kick
scoring... Was 8-for-10 in league action to rank third in percentage...
Finished the year ranked second among sophomores in school history with
73 points and fifth in school history in season percentage... Also
finished just outside the school’s single season top-10 list in field
goals and extra points (40)... Earned Big 12 Special Teams Player of the
Week honors after going 4-for-4 against TCU, which included the
game-winning 41-yarder with three seconds remaining... It was the
Wildcats’ first game-winning field goal under one minute since 1980,
while his four makes tied for second in school history... A First Team
Academic All-Big 12 performer.

HIGH SCHOOL:
Played three years at Kapaun Mt. Carmel under head coach Dan
Adelhart... An all-state selection by the Kansas Football Coaches
Association, Topeka Capital-Journal and Wichita Eagle as a senior...
Helped the Crusaders win three-straight district championships... Booted
over 50 touchbacks and made 15 field goals... Also lettered four years
in golf, earning all-city accolades from 2009-11 and all-state honors in
2010 and 2011... Held the low city scoring average and the second
lowest round in Kansas state high school golf history with a 5-under par
67 in 2010... Was a four-year member on the superior honor roll and
graduated cum laude.

Jack Gregory Cantele was born July 1, 1992, in St. Louis, Missouri...
Son of John and Susan Cantele... Brother, Anthony, was a three-year
kicker for the Wildcats from 2010-12... Majoring in civil engineering.
