CAREER: A former walk-on who became a top target at receiver over his final three years... Finished his career ranked seventh in school history in yards per reception (17.05) and 15th in career receiving yards (1,569)... The former ranked 17th in Big 12 history... Had nine touchdown receptions that spanned an average of 39.4 yards.
2019: Played in all 13 games with 12 starts... Led the team in receptions (37), yards (579) and receiving touchdowns (4) en route to Honorable Mention All-Big 12 honors... Set a new career high with six catches against Baylor... Also had a five-catch performance in K-State’s win over No. 5 Oklahoma and at Texas... Tied for team-high honors with nine catches that have gone for third-down conversions... Earned First Team Academic All-Big 12 and CoSIDA Academic All-District honors... Served as a team captain.

Named the 2015 Kansas City Star Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year and one of six national finalists for the Wendy’s High School Heisman award as he earned all A’s throughout high school... Broke the Kansas high school record for receiving yards in a game with 380 on 12 catches with four touchdowns against Bishop Miege in 2014... Earned first team all-state honors as he hauled in 42 receptions for 880 yards and eight touchdowns on the year... Selected to play in the Kansas Shrine Bowl where he set the game’s record with 169 receiving yards... Also lettered four years in basketball – winning two state championships and earning honorable mention all-state honors – and four years in baseball, earning second team all-state accolades.
PERSONAL: Dalton J Schoen was born October 13, 1996, in Overland Park, Kansas... Son of Kelly and Kristi Schoen... Both parents attended K-State... Has one brother, Mason, and one sister, Chandler... Mason was a four-year member of the K-State men’s basketball team and is a current graduate assistant for the Wildcats... Has volunteered for Harvesters and First Downs for Down Syndrome... Earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering in May 2019 and is currently pursuing a master’s in data analytics.
