CAREER: A career 29-game starter who bypassed his senior season to enter the NFL Draft... Finished his career tied for eighth in school history with 20.0 career sacks, while his 34.0 tackles for loss were five shy of entering the school’s top 10... Finished his career ranked seventh in the nation among active players in sacks per game (0.59) and 10th in tackles for loss per game (1.00).
2020: Started all 10 games, totaling 27 tackles, 13.0 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks, the latter two being career highs... Earned his second-consecutive First Team All-Big 12 honor and was the only unanimous selection on defense... Also earned votes for both the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year awards for a second-straight year... Named a semifinalist for the Ted Hendricks Award and to the watch lists for the Bronko Nagruski Trophy and Bednarik Award... Finished the season tied for third in the Big 12 in sacks and ranked seventh in tackles for loss... Ranked 16th nationally in sacks... Also tied for sixth in the Big 12 with two forced fumbles... 2019: Started 12 games, leading the team with 12.5 tackles for loss and 7.0 sacks en route to First Team All-Big 12 honors from the league’s coaches and Associated Press... Also earned votes from the league’s coaches for the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year and Big 12 Defensive Lineman of the Year... Tied for second in the Big 12 in sacks, while he was 10th in TFLs... Tied his career high of 2.0 sacks against both Oklahoma State and Texas Tech, the former in which he caused a fumble... Had a season-high four tackles to go along with 1.5 TFLs and a sack in K-State’s win over No. 5 Oklahoma... Also had 2.0 TFLs against Iowa State... Recorded at least 1.0 TFL in nine of his 12 games played... A candidate for the Ted Hendricks Award and Bronko Nagurski Award.
2018: Saw action in all 12 games with seven starts en route to Freshman All-America honors from USA TODAY Sports... Carded 34 tackles, 8.5 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks on the year to go along with a pass breakup and an interception against Mississippi State... Led all Big 12 freshmen in TFLs per game (0.71), while he was second among freshmen in sacks per game (0.38), the latter ranking third in the nation... Set a season high with five tackles against Texas Tech, a game that featured a season-best 2.0 sacks and a season-high tying 2.0 TFLs... Other game with 2.0 TFLs was at TCU... Also had a sack against Kansas and 1.5 sacks at Baylor... Recorded four tackles against Mississippi State, Baylor, TCU and Kansas... His interception and subsequent 11-yard return against Mississippi State led to a K-State touchdown.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played for Shawnee Heights under head coach Jason Swift... Rated the nation’s 29th-best strongside defensive end in the Class of 2017 by Rivals, while he was ranked as the second-best player in the state of Kansas by ESPN... Earned a spot on the USA TODAY Sports/American Family Insurance All-USA Kansas team in addition to All-Midlands Region honors from PrepStar... Picked up all-state honors as a senior from the Topeka Capital-Journal, Wichita Eagle and Kansas Football Coaches Association, while he was an honorable mention selection as a junior... Totaled 124 career tackles, 43.0 tackles for loss and 20.5 sacks... Finished his senior season with 63 tackles, 17.5 TFLs and 8.0 sacks en route to Centennial League Defensive Player of the Year, all-league and all-city honors... Also played tight end, totaling 39 career receptions for 500 yards and a pair of touchdowns... Selected to play in the 2017 Kansas Shrine Bowl... Also participated in wrestling and track and field.
