• Second Team All-Big 12 (Coaches)
CAREER: A graduate transfer from Northern Iowa who made a splash during his one season in Manhattan.
2020: Played in nine games with seven starts en route to Second Team All-Big 12 honors from the league’s coaches... Also picked up votes from the coaches for the Big 12 Offensive Newcomer of the Year award... Recorded the most catches by a Wildcat tight end since 2012 and the most yards since 2014... Had three touchdowns, tied for the fourth most by a tight end in school history... Tied for second in the Big 12 in touchdown receptions by a tight end... Tallied a career-long reception of 66 yards against Texas Tech, bettering his previous long of 64 yards he had in 2018 while playing for Northern Iowa... It was the longest catch by a Wildcat tight end since 2006... Had 78 receiving yards against the Red Raiders, the most by a Wildcat tight end since 2014.
2019: Played in the season opener at Iowa State but sustained a season-ending injury... Made four catches for 26 yards against the Cyclones before the injury... Earned a medical hardship for the 2019 season and is classified a senior again in 2020.
2018: Played in all 12 games with 10 starting, leading the Panthers in receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns... Ranked sixth in the nation in receiving yards among tight ends and fifth in touchdowns... Earned First Team All-Missouri Valley Football Conference honors... Hauled in a season-high 96 yards – which included a 64-yard touchdown – against No. 1 North Dakota State, then coached by current head coach Chris Klieman... Came away with a season-best five receptions against Montana, Iowa and Indiana State... Also had touchdowns against the Hawkeyes, South Dakota and Youngstown State.
2017: Played in all 13 games with 10 starts, pulling in 38 receptions for 494 yards to rank second on the team in both categories en route to Honorable Mention All-Missouri Valley Football Conference accolades... Tallied a career-high 100 yards on five receptions against South Dakota... Set his career high with seven receptions, which went for 99 yards, against Cal Poly... Also had a 90-yard game in the second round of the FCS Playoffs against South Dakota State.
2016: Played in 10 games as a true freshman with his first-career start against North Dakota State, a game in which he hauled in his first-career touchdown... Also had a reception in three other games, including the Montana contest when he went for a season-high 36 yards... Had one catch for 19 yards in his first-career game, a 25-20 victory at Iowa State.
HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Blue Springs South under head coach Greg Oder... Earned first team all-state honors as a senior from the Missouri Football Coaches Association... Also earned all-district and all-conference honors... Helped the Jaguars earn a perfect 14-0 record and a Class 6 State Championship in 2015... Had 37 receptions for 672 yards and 15 touchdowns as a senior... Also lettered in basketball, starting for three years and leading his team to a state championships in 2015.
