HIGH SCHOOL: Played at Sahuaro under head coach Scott McKee... Earned first team all-conference honors... Also competed in discus and shot put – picking up all-state status – in addition to wrestling.

Father, Chima, played defensive tackle at Arizona, while he also competed in the 1996 Olympics for his native Nigeria in the shot put... Related to former NFL All-Pro running back Christian Okoye...
