HIGH SCHOOL
Attended Cypress High School in Cypress, California ... A three-year varsity letterwinner for Coach John Weber, he posted a career earned run average of 1.37 and a 1.12 WHIP while totaling 87 strikeouts over 148 2/3 innings ... His career ERA ranked second in school history while his 17 wins tied for seventh ... In 2019, he went 11-0 with a 1.03 ERA and 57 strikeouts in being named 2019 Empire League Pitcher of the Year ... Additionally in 2019, he was named MaxPreps California All-State, CalHi All-State Underclass Team and First Team All-CIFSS ... He earned all-county and all-league accolades while helping the Centurions to a No. 1 national ranking, according to Perfect Game, and a No. 3 ranking, according to MaxPreps ... Threw 37 consecutive scoreless innings to end the 2019 season and led Cypress to the Division I CIFSS title ... In a shortened 2020 season, he was named to the CIFSS and CalHi all-state senior teams and Empire League senior team after throwing three complete games in four starts and posting a 1.55 ERA ... Was a three-time Empire League All-Academic selection ... At the plate, recorded a .353 average with 35 RBI, 10 doubles and 10 stolen bases.
