Named Academic All-Big 12 Second Team ... Made six relief appearances with a record of 0-0 and an ERA of 18.41 (1 ER, 7.1 IP) ... Picked up three strikeouts with six walks and 12 base hits allowed ... Season-long 3 1/3 innings of relief in season debut on at California Baptist on February 20 ... At CBU, he did not allow a run on two hits with two strikeouts ... Made one appearance in BIg 12 play, throwing one inning against Texas Tech on March 30, allowing one earned run on two hits.

Named Academic All-Big 12 First Team ... Led team with 19 relief appearances and tied for team lead in total appearances ... Posted a 1-1 record with a 5.32 ERA (13 ER, 22.0 IP) and 10 strikeouts ... Did not allow an earned run in 12 of 19 outings ... Season-high two strikeouts twice (2/19 vs. Virginia Tech, 4/28 vs. Baylor) ... SOPHOMORE (2017)

Named Second Team Academic All-Big 12 ... Finished his sophomore season third on the team with nine starts ... Finished 1-3 with a 6.53 ERA (40.0 IP, 29 ER) ... One quality start vs. UC Riverside, throwing six shutout innings with just two hits and five strikeouts ... Career highs in innings pitched (40.0), strikeouts (28) and starts (9) ... Started two games that ended in shutouts - Delaware (2/18) and UC Riverside (3/10) - both games matched season-high five strikeouts ... Opponents hit .265 against him.

FRESHMAN (2016)

Logging the second-most appearances by K-State freshmen, Heinen went 2-0 with a 2.60 ERA (8er, 27.2ip), 20 strikeouts and 12 walks in 16 games (one start) … His ERA was best among all K-State pitchers … Opponents hit .216 against, which was second best among Wildcat hurlers … As a reliever, he was 1-0 with a 1.99 ERA (5er, 22.2ip) and a .215 clip against … His one start was in a midweek against Wichita State on May 3, when he picked up the win after he allowed 3 runs on 4 hits and a walk in 5.0 innings at home … Did not allow a run in his first 4 career appearances … Earned his first career win on March 9 vs. Creighton after he tossed 2 perfect innings in K-State’s 8-2 victory … Tossed 3 scoreless frames on March 16 vs. Stephen F. Austin … After posting a 1.38 ERA through March (8 appearances), he had a 27.08 mark (4er, 1.1ip) in April … Yielded just one hit and no runs over 3 relief appearances in May, throwing a combined 8 1/3 scoreless innings over the stretch … Threw 3 no-hit innings at Oklahoma on May 7 and then held the Sooners to one hit and no runs over 4 1/3 innings on May 26 in the Big 12 Baseball Championship in Oklahoma City … Opponents hit .119 against over his last 4 appearances of the season.
