Hired in April 2017, Cyr enters his fourth full season as the strength and conditioning coach with K-State baseball.

Cyr, who also oversees the strength and conditioning for the Wildcat men’s and women’s golf programs, comes to K-State after spending time at Ole Miss. Cyr worked primarily with the men’s and women’s cross country teams, while also assisting with track & field, baseball and other Olympic sports programs.

Prior to his time at Ole Miss, he was a strength and conditioning graduate assistant at the University of West Florida. He was primarily responsible for the design and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for men’s soccer and baseball. Cyr interned for the UWF Argonauts during the 2014-2015 seasons. He designed and implemented programs for the men’s golf team while assisting with baseball, football, softball, volleyball and basketball teams.

Cyr earned a Bachelor of Science degree in exercise science from the University of North Alabama, where he also played baseball for four years. He was named Gulf South Conference Freshman of the Year in 2010, a three-time All-GSC honoree from 2011-13 and was named UNA’s male athlete of the year in 2013.

He is a member of the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association, and is SCCC certified.

A native of Huntsville, Alabama, Cyr completed his master’s of science in physical education and human performance from the University of West Florida.
