2000-01: Carded a 3-under par 68 at the Branson Creek Invitational (4/14-4/15) for best single-round score of sophomore campaign...Also notched top finish of the season at Branson Creek, placing tied for fifth.
1999-00: Won the Kansas Pub Links Championship (6/4/00) during the summer...finished tied for 63rd at the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate (9/7/99) with rounds of 80-73-73=226...suffered a season-ending wrist injury while competing as an individual at the Kansas Invitational, finishing the final three holes with a broken wrist.
High School: Attended Burlington HS...the Iowa State Golf Champion in 1998 after earning a fourth-place finish in 1997...won nine tournaments as a senior and never finished lower than second in 14 events...had a career-best third-place finish at the AJGA Aspen Junior Classic in 1998...was the 1997 Maxfli PGA Junior/Iowa Section Champion...three-time participant in the U.S. Junior Amateur as a prep...a two-time letterman in basketball, earning all-conference accolades his junior and senior seasons, and was named team captain as a senior.
Personal: Born Nov. 9, 1980...son of John and Claudia Schweizer...majoring in business administration..father played three seasons on the gridiron at Iowa State.
