1999-2000: Shot a career-best even-par 72 during his first collegiate round at the Greg May Honda-Baylor Invitational (10/21/99)...participated in three events as a true freshman.
High School: One of the state's top performers as a prep, Soldan claimed the 1997 Kansas State Junior Amateur and the 1998 Kansas Junior Match Play title, using a birdie on the 18th hole to seal the win...claimed seven career titles at Manhattan High for Larry Becraft's Indians...won the I-70 Conference title as a freshman.
Personal: Born Sept. 15, 1981...son of David and Dorothy Soldan...major is agricultural economics...parents are both professors at Kansas State...his father, David, in electrical engineering and his mother, Dorothy, in economics...enjoys fishing, basketball, and reading.
