MANHATTAN, Kansas - Kansas State will play its first exhibition game this season on Friday, Nov. 3 against Emporia State at 5:30 p.m., in Bramlage Coliseum.
• Friday night's game can be seen live and for free on K-StateHD.TV, as James Westling (play-by-play) and
Kristin Waller (color analyst) will have the call. Â
• K-State head coach
Jeff Mittie enters his 26th season of coaching and his fourth in Manhattan with a career record of 515-273 (.654), including a 61-38 (.616) record at K-State.
• Kansas State women's basketball will play its golden anniversary season in 2017-18, as the Wildcats will celebrate the 50th season of the program.
• According to the NCAA, K-State joins 25 other women's basketball programs in NCAA Division I history to play at least 50 straight seasons of intercollegiate women's basketball, including six programs reaching the mark with K-State this season: Belmont, Dayton, East Tennessee State, Kansas, Stephen F. Austin and UMBC.
• Since its first intercollegiate season in 1968-69, K-State's overall record entering the season stands at 914-567 (.617). The Wildcats rank 18th in NCAA Division I women's basketball history for program wins and just the second Big 12 school to surpass the 900-win mark (Texas).

• The Lady Hornets opened its exhibition schedule on Sunday, October 29, at Kansas. The Jayhawks downed Emporia State, 69-49.
• On the sideline, Emporia State is led by eighth-year head coach Jory Collins. Collins is 182-47 (.795) in his time in Emporia.
• Emporia State returns eight players that saw action in 14 or more games last season. Pacing the Lady Hornets is senior guard Addie Lackey. The product of Hillsboro, Kansas, averaged 12.9 points per game in 2016-17, while also handing out 2.4 assists per game.
Fresh Faces on K-State Coaching Staff
• Kansas State women's basketball head coach
Jeff Mittie will have some new voices on the bench this season. The program added
Chris Carr and
Jayci Stone to assistant coach positions, adjusted the role of former assistant coach
Ebony Gilliam and hired
Ebony Haliburton.
• Carr was promoted to assistant coach following the Gilliam's decision to move into the the program's Coordinator of Recruiting Operations. Carr served as the Director of Student-Athlete Development in 2016-17.
• Stone joined Mittie's coaching staff from Stephen F. Austin to replace former assistant
Jacie Hoyt, who accepted the head coaching position at UMKC. Hoyt hired former K-State guard
Kindred Wesemann as an assistant coach.
• K-State's former Coordinator of Recruiting Operations, Micaella Riche, returned to her playing career and will play this season in Thessaloniki, Greece, with Panathilitkos Sykeon.
• Haliburton joined Mittie's staff in July to fill Carr's former role as the program's Director of Student-Athlete Development.
K-State Among 900-Win Club
• With a 62-49 win over UT-Arlington on Dec. 7, 2016, Kansas State became the 20th program in NCAA Division I women's basketball history and the second Big 12 team (Texas) with 900 or more wins. K-State's record in its 50th season of women's basketball stands at 914-567 (.617).
• The Wildcats have accumulated 24 20-win seasons and have secured 312 victories inside Bramlage Coliseum.
• K-State has 174 wins in the Big 12 Conference.
• In postseason play, the Wildcats have 13 wins in the NCAA Tournament and 14 wins in the WNIT.
• Kansas State has registered 220 victories when they were ranked in the Associated Press top-25 poll and achieved 78 wins against teams ranked in the AP poll.
Kansas State Roster Continues to Grow

Jeff Mittie took the over the program prior to the 2014-15 season, K-State's roster has continued to grow larger in stature.
• In the 2017-18 season, K-State's roster features 12 total players and nine are six feet or taller, including six players 6'2" or taller.
• The roster includes the tallest player in program history, 6'7" junior center
Anastasia Tsybaeva.
• This is the fourth straight season K-State's roster has increased its average height including the third straight season with an average height of 6'0" or taller.
