MANHATTAN, Kansas - Kansas State begins the month of December with the 2018 SEC/Big 12 Challenge, as the Wildcats host Vanderbilt on Sunday at 1 p.m.

• Sunday's game can be seen live on ESPN3, as Brian Smoller (play-by-play) and Missy Heidrick (color analyst) will have the call.  
• For the ninth straight season, Kansas State (4-2) registered a winning record in the month of November. The Wildcats capped the month with an 80-61 win over Princeton in the 2018 Cancun Challenge - Mayan Division.
• The Wildcats went 1-2 in the Cancun Challenge, picking up the program's first win in Cancun in nine games.  
• Kansas State was led in the three games by junior forward Peyton Williams and freshman guard Christianna Carr.
• Williams, who was named to the Cancun Challenge - Mayan Division All-Tournament Team, averaged team-highs of 15.7 points on 62.1 percent shooting and pulled in 7.0 rebounds per game. Against Princeton, Williams led K-State with a game-high 23 points on 8-of-10 shooting from the field including 2-of-2 from three-point range and 5-of-6 from the charity stripe. She added seven rebounds and two blocks to her final stat line against the Tigers.
• For the season, Williams leads K-State with 14.0 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. She also leads the team in field goal percentage (.609) and free throw percentage (.917). She is second in blocks (8) and assists (16).
• Carr recorded her first two career games in double figures in Cancun and averaged 12.7 points in the three games. Against Princeton, Carr notched her first career 20-point game with 22 points off the bench which was boosted by a career-high four connections from beyond the arc.

• #KStateWBB senior guard Kayla Goth needs one assist to become the 10th player in program history with 350 or more career assists.
• Goth is averaging 5.8 assists to begin the 2018-19 season and tallied a season-high eight against Princeton on November 24.
• Goth has boosted her career total over her last 40 games played, as she has tallied 261 assists (6.5 apg) in that span.

• Vanderbilt (3-4) enters the SEC/Big 12 Challenge matchup in Manhattan with two straight wins carding a 78-43 win over Presbyterian on November 25.
• The Commodores are guided by former K-State assistant coach Stephanie White. White is in her third season at Vanderbilt and owns a 24-44 record in Nashville.
• White served as a K-State assistant under Deb Patterson in the 2004-05 season. White went on to lead the Indiana Fever in the WNBA and became the first rookie head coach in the league to guide a team to the WNBA Finals in their first season.
• On the floor, Vanderbilt is led by sophomore Chelsie Hall and redshirt junior Mariella Fasoula. Hall is averaging a team-high 14.1 points and 4.6 assists.
• Fasoula is averaging 13.7 points and a team-high 8.4 rebounds. Against Presbyterian, Fasoula tallied 18 points, eight rebounds, two blocks and two steals.

K-State Among Top-20 in NCAA History for Wins
• Kansas State women's basketball is in its 51st season of action and ranks among the top programs in NCAA history for wins.
• K-State's all-time record stands at 936-585 (.615) and the Wildcats entered the 2018-19 season ranked 18th in NCAA Division I women's basketball history for program wins. K-State is averaging 18.4 wins per season.
• The Wildcats have accumulated 24 20-win seasons and have secured 326 victories inside Bramlage Coliseum.
• K-State has 181 wins in the Big 12 Conference.
• In postseason play, the Wildcats have 13 wins in the NCAA Tournament and 16 wins in the WNIT.
• Kansas State has registered 220 victories when they were ranked in the Associated Press top-25 poll and achieved 80 wins against teams ranked in the AP poll.

Wildcats Cash In at the Charity Stripe
• Kansas State has continued to earn trips to the free throw line, which is a trend during head coach Jeff Mittie's time at K-State.
• K-State is 68-of-98 (.694) from the free throw line after six games and ranks third in the Big 12 in free throw percentage.
• The Wildcats have had the edge in free throw attempts in four of six games this season.
• During the Cancun Challenge, the Wildcats were 37-of-47 (.787) from the foul line to boost the team's percentage. Against Syracuse, the Wildcats carded a season-high for free throw percentage (min. 10 attempts) at 92.9 percent by connecting on 13-of-14.
• Against Princeton, the Wildcats carded a season-high for free throws made and attempted with a 17-of-24 effort on the final day of the Cancun Challenge.
• In the 2017-18 season, the Wildcats were 438-of-605 (.724) from the foul line, which was 18.9 percent of the team's overall point total. K-State ranked fourth in the Big 12 in free throw percentage.
• This was the eighth season in program history that K-State tallied a 70.0 percent or better free throw percentage (minimum of 500 or more free throws attempted in a season).
• This was the fourth straight season under Mittie that K-State made 350 or more free throws in a season and the first time to do so in four straight seasons since 1975-76 to 1992-93, a stretch of 17 consecutive seasons.

K-State Attacking the Paint
• Kansas State has converted in the paint at a high rate to begin the 2018-19 season.
• The Wildcats have scored 200 points in the paint (33.3 ppg) to start the season. The 200 points represents 52.4 percent of K-State's overall point total this season.
• K-State scored a season-high of 44 points in the paint against UMKC on November 18. The 44 points in the lane were the most since K-State notched 50 points in the paint against Texas Tech on February 7, 2018. The Wildcats have two games with 40 or more points in the paint this season.
• In the 2017-18 season, Kansas State tallied 920 total points in the paint (27.1 ppg) which represented 39.8 percent of K-State's overall point total.
• Under head coach Jeff Mittie, Kansas State has scored 900 or more points in the paint in four straight seasons including a high of 1,064 points (31.3 ppg) during the 2016-17 season.

Board Work Not Boring for Williams    
• Peyton Williams continues to pile up the rebounds to begin the 2018-19 season.
• Against UMKC, Williams hauled in 10 rebounds which was her ninth career game with 10 or more rebounds.
• Williams owns 397 career rebounds. She needs 114 rebounds to move into 29th on the K-State career rebounds list. She needs 103 rebounds to become the 32nd player in program history with 500 or more career rebounds.
• In the 2017-18 season, the product of Topeka, Kansas, was second on the team with 7.1 rebounds per game and set a career season-high for rebounds with 241 in 2017-18. Her 7.1 rebounds per game are double her per game average from her freshman season (3.4 rpg).
• Williams ranked eighth in the Big 12 in rebounds per game (7.1 rpg) and within Big 12-only games she ranked eighth (6.9 rpg).
• Williams was the fourth player in program history to register 500 or more points and 200 or more rebounds in her sophomore season. She was the first sophomore to achieve this milestone since Kendra Wecker in the 2002-03 season.

Jonesing for Blocks    
• Senior forward Kali Jones has started the 2018-19 season with a defensive mindset.
• Jones has a team-high nine blocked shots this season and ranks tied for seventh in the Big 12 in blocks per game.
• She has tied her career-high twice this season with three blocks against UMKC and Princeton.
• In the 2017-18 season, Jones tallied a career-high 19 blocks (0.6 bpg) in a career-best 30 games played.
