K-State to Take on Cornhuskers, Tigers

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State will meet a pair of former conference foes this week, as the Wildcats host Nebraska on Tuesday at Tointon Family Stadium before heading to Missouri for a Wednesday matchup in Columbia, Missouri.

The Wildcats (12-16) take on the Cornhuskers (13-9) at 6 p.m. at Tointon Family Stadium, with the game broadcast on ESPN3 and the ESPN app. The game marks another Two-for-Tuesday promotion and fans can purchase buy-one, get-one general admission tickets.

K-State will then take on the Missouri Tigers (18-10-1) at 3 p.m. at Taylor Stadium on Wednesday. The Cats and Tigers will meet for the first time since 2012, with the game scheduled to air on SEC Network+ and the ESPN app.

Both games can be heard on News Radio KMAN (93.3 FM, 1350 AM) with streaming audio at K-StateSports.com/watch.

A LOOK AT K-STATE
K-State (12-16) will meet a pair of familiar foes Tuesday and Wednesday in former conference rivals Nebraska and Missouri ... The Wildcats will host the Cornhuskers at Tointon Family Stadium on Tuesday before traveling to Missouri to take on the Tigers on Wednesday ... The Cats completed their first home series of Big 12 play, taking the series finale from No. 10 Texas Tech after dropping a Saturday doubleheader ... Sunday, K-State used a three-run seventh inning to overcome a 4-2 deficit to win its first Big 12 game of the season 5-4 ... In the seventh, K-State got a two-run single from Dylan Phillips before Thomas Hughes delivered the go-ahead single with two outs to cap the comeback victory ... TTU won Game 1 of the series 11-4 before a 4-3 win in the nightcap of the doubleheader ... Zach Kokoska paced the Wildcats in the series, hitting .556 (5-for-9) with an RBI and three runs scored ...
