New Meet Record and Personal-Bests Highlight K-State Winter Invitational
Dec 11, 2021 | Track & Field
MANHATTAN, Kan. – Coming off a stellar performance on Friday (December 10), the Kansas State track and field teams hosted the K-State Winter Invitational on Saturday (December 11) at the Ahearn Field House.
"Overall, I think it was pretty good," stated Director of Track and Field and Cross Country Cliff Rovelto. "The idea behind doing this meet is to give the athletes a chance to see where they are at in training. We don't train to a point for this meet, we just train, and this meet comes up and we go run and compete. I think there were some really good performances and I know there were some personal-bests that I am happy with."

"We had some first-year folks that really did a great time today," said Rovelto. "This is the first time some people have competed indoors, let alone competing this early. There were some really positive things and some negative things by some freshmen, and we've got a long ways to go."
