Dibbini Adds Hobbs to 2022 Roster

MANHATTAN, Kansas – Kansas State soccer head coach Mike Dibbini strengthened the 2022 roster, as the Wildcats have signed goalkeeper Morgan Hobbs to a National Letter of Intent.
"We are excited to get a late addition to our 2022 signing class in Morgan for the goalkeeper position," said Dibbini about the team's newest addition. "Her ability to make big saves in big moments and her distribution will be great with the way we like to play. With the addition of Morgan, our goalkeeper union will be a very competitive position group this fall and that's really exciting."
Hobbs, a product of Santana High School in El Cajon, California, was the starting goalkeeper for the Sultans as they qualified for the 2020-21 California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Tournament qualifying squad. She recorded nine shutouts and registered a goals against average of less than one.
At the conclusion of her junior season, Hobbs was named to the All-Grossmont League First Team.
In club action, Hobbs plays for the San Diego Surf in the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL). She was named to the 2021 ECNL National Selection game in November.
K-State concluded its sixth season of action by tying the school record for wins in a season with six. The Wildcats also established new school records for goals in a season (20), assists in a season (20) and points in a season (60).
The leading goal scorer for K-State in the 2021 season was junior Marisa Weichel with six goals followed by junior Kyler Goins with four.
