Cats Clash with Sooners in Big 12 Road Test

MANHATTAN, Kan. – K-State faces its first conference road test, as the Wildcats head to McCasland Field House in Norman, Oklahoma, to take on the Oklahoma Sooners in a two-match series Friday and Saturday.
K-State (9-4, 0-2 Big 12) began its Big 12 slate with a pair of losses to 10th-ranked Baylor last weekend at Bramlage Coliseum, snapping its season-long eight-match winning streak.
Against the Bears, Aliyah Carter led the Wildcats in each match with 14 and 18 kills, respectively, in the three-set losses. Carter turned in her seventh double-double of the season Saturday, with 10 digs in addition to her 14 kills.
The Cats claimed both matchups a season ago against the Sooners (6-7, 0-2 Big 12) at Bramlage Coliseum and have won eight of the last 12 matchups with OU dating back to 2015. K-State seeks its first win in Norman since the 2017 season.
