FROM THE TRACK
CLIFF ROVELTO, TRACK AND FIELD DIRECTOR
On performances from this weekend…
"All in all we accomplished I think most of what we kind of set out to do. With the triangular last meet, we had a lot of folks doing a number of events, and then going forward, we've got some big meets coming up so this was somewhat of a down weekend, if you will, for us. We did have some really strong performances in the shot, weight, there were some good marks there."
On expectations for the Texas Tech Open & Multis…
"Texas Tech is a really competitive track meet. Emil [Uhlin] will do the heptathlon, Urte [Bacianskaite] will do the pentathlon, in both fields very, very competitive, but I think both of them are in a good place training wise. Emil's had some really good marks these first couple weeks. Individually we're going to have our best people in their stronger events, if you will, and I fully expect to see some really good quality times."
