FROM THE HEAD COACH
K-State Head Coach Jeff Mittie

On the importance of this win…
"Well, you know in the Big 12 when you go through a stretch like this there are no easy games. I think when mentally you get down or frustrated, which we've certainly been that, a win can, certainly you feel better going home. You feel better. We thought at Baylor that our ball movement was better. We thought the shots we got there were better than the results and we didn't shoot it well again tonight, but we had a 11 assist on 12 field goals in the first half. Those are positive things that we can continue to build on. And it's not just one, we felt the same way at Baylor. So maybe we can stack together, if we can start to stack together some of those things then I think it's real beneficial."

On the offensive shooting struggles…
"Yeah, I think so. I think we're kind of in between. We've got some individuals that they're struggling shooting the ball but I felt like that group moved the ball good. I felt like our shot selection was solid. And I just kept encouraging them to keep moving the ball, keep moving the ball, keep finding each other and I think good things will happen with that."

On the defensive effort…
"I thought our defense had really good awareness of where we wanted them to not take shots. The only problem I had with our defense was way too many second chances, particularly early in the second half."

On building a double-digit lead in the first half…
"Yeah, I think it's certainly huge for us. And it was certainly huge when Gabby (Gregory) and Serena (Sundell) picked up two fouls. We have not scored the basketball well with both of them on the bench. I thought Sarah (Shematsi) played well in that stretch, I think (Rebekah) Dallinger hit a big three from the corner in that stretch, Jaelyn Glenn did a good job of running things. So that was a real positive."

On the development of Heavenly Greer
"Well, I think Heav (Heavenly) has sat out a while and I talked to her prior to the Baylor game and said we need to get more out of the center spot. I talked to her and Taylor (Lauterbach) both about you guys need to give us more and you're gonna get an opportunity to do that. So she played well against Baylor, did some good things tonight. Had some opportunities kind of slipped through her fingers but she did make some good plays I think at both ends."

TCU Head Coach Raegan Pebley
Opening Statement…
"I felt like I was really proud of this second half group that we had and how they played. I know we won the second half and just went through a different rotation. And that group really did some of the things that we were asking and needed done. I think obviously, that first half, too many turnovers for us playing you know I think unsure offensively, and that you know, too many possessions caught up to us and put a lot of pressure on our defense. But like I said I'm proud of that second half group."
