FROM THE HEAD COACH
K-State Head Coach Jeff Mittie
On what TCU's defense took away...
"I think they were just aggressive on Serena (Sundell) in the middle of the floor and weren't giving her anything easy through there and so I thought they had a pretty good awareness. Gabby (Gregory) you know early in the game we had a lot of shots from other people that weren't going in and so we got to get those two more shots early in the game."
On defense on Gregory...
"They diverted her away from the free throw line. You know this is a player that I don't know if she leads the Big 12 in free throws but she's right there at the top so they did a pretty good job of not fouling or not giving her those those free throws that she gets going on. And then we didn't do a very good job of getting her on the ball. Their zone rotated decent to her, but I felt like our ball movement was slow."
On K-State's three-point shooting...
"We had good looks. It seemed like we were just off with the timing of it. Maybe the flow of the game. I felt like that we probably could have moved the ball better and maybe gotten a little bit better rhythm but I think we're going to go back on film and say 'oh, those are pretty good shots.' Obviously what you think you get when the ball moving better as you just get a little bit better rhythm and you knock more down. We did not shoot the ball well today."
