Men’s Golf Earns Team GCAA Academic Award

MANHATTAN, Kan. – The Kansas State men's golf team was honored for its work in the classroom during the 2024-25 season as the Wildcats were named a PLATFORM Golf Team Academic Award recipient, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Tuesday.
The Wildcats landed on the list by having a combined team GPA of at least 3.0. It is fourth time K-State has been honored for academics as Kobe Valociek was named to the GCAA All-American Scholar Team and was a member of the College Sports Communicators All-District team. Additionally, Valociek was one of six Wildcats to be named to the Spring Academic All-Big 12 team as announced earlier in the day on Tuesday.
On the course, the Wildcats put together the fifth-best team scoring average in school history at 288.38 and earned five top-five finishes to tie for ninth in school history. K-State earned its 10th postseason appearance in school history when it competed in the NCAA Bremerton Regional and finished in sixth place, just three shots shy of a qualifying spot.
